Sales of raw material of seafood has been the core business of Matsuoka Co., Ltd. since our establishment. We import seafood from all over the world and sell them throughout Japan. We also process raw material we purchased in China or Southeast Asian countries, then import finished products into Japan.

Raw materials for fish cake and crab sticks. We import surimi of Alaska pollock from the USA and Russia, and surimi of golden threadfin bream, lizardfishes, and beltfish from India, then sell them to manufacturers all over Japan.

Raw material for salted and seasoned Alaska pollock roe whichi is called TARAKO and KARASHI-MENTAIKO in Japanese. We purchase the raw material frozen on the vessels catching in Bering Sea directly.

Bluefin tuna and Southern bluefin tuna farmed raised in the beautiful waters of the Mediterranean Sea and South of Australia. Quickly frozen to ultra-low temperature at the farming site for sales in Japan.

We deal with frozen raw octopus from West Africa for the material of boiled octopus, and also boiled and cut octopus from Vietnum,

Mainly Russian red king crab and snow crab.

There are wild ones caught in Alaska, Russia, and farmed ones in Chile, Norway, Canada, etc. We mainly handle wild sockeye salmon caught in Alaska and Russia and farm-raised coho salmon from Chile.

We mainly deal with raw materials such as shell-on shrimps (both wild and farm-raised) from India, ASEAN countries, Central and South America. Besides, we are also increasing the volume of processed shrimp products to accommodate requests from our customer.

We are purchasing from China. Our main item is the roasted eel for super markets, as well as sliced one for sushi restaurants.

Squid caught in the South Pacific and South Atlantic is cut and sorted into parts of body for quick freezing. We handle illex squid in North Atlantic certified by MSC as well. Grilled squid, dried and shredded squid are popular items as snaks. Also, tempura and fries of squid are big parts of our dining table.

We purchase frozen herring during the spawning season of March to May. We send a part of frozen herring we purchased to China, and process salted herring roe there.

Roe season of Pacific cod is from January to March.

We purchase black cod caught in the USA and Canada. We handle both frozen at sea product and land frozen one.

We purchase greenland halibut from Atlantic Ocean, frozen at sea.

We handle redfish from both Atlantic and North Pacific, frozen at sea.

We purchase frozen chicken (mainly bone less legs) directly from Brazilian producers and sell them to domestic processors and distributers in Japan.

We import a wide variety of vegetables and fruits such as onion from various countries, pineapple from Taiwan, tomato from Korea.
